Homemade Granola

Finally, it happened! Finally I’ve created the best, easiest and tastiest homemade granola recipe.

I actually baked it last week for the first time, however ate it in a few days, so didn’t have the chance to post about it.

This one, I’ve baked yesterday. And so I had to share with you. I warn you in advance, this is addictive!!

Ingredients:

3 tbsp. Coconut oil
2 cups of oatmeal
1 cup of puffed oatmeal (you can just add another cup of the regular one)
1 cup of seeds (any kind you like)
3 tbsp. agave syrup (you can use maple as well)
4 tbsp. ground flax seeds
4 tbsp. raisins
4 tbsp. dried banana
2 tbsp. cinnamon powder

Preparation:

Mix the coconut oil with the agave and cinnamon. In a different bowl, mix the oatmeal and seeds. Add the coconut blend to the dry ingredients and mix them all together. Better to mix them with your hands Place the granola nicely on an oven tray.

Let it bake in the oven with 160°C for about 30 minutes, and keep stir the mix every few minutes.

After taking out of the oven, let it cool and then add the raisins and dried banana. I prefer to crush the banana before adding it, because I find it too big. But you can add it as you wish. This is also the moment to add the flax seeds.

It is important to add the flaxseeds only once the granola is cold. The reason for that is, that once heated – the quality of the nutrients in flax seeds will decrease.
